Kate and I left Mn Friday, we're in northern Utah via, Iowa, Neb, and Wyoming.
Tough to get shots (not all of them) at 75 mph. :
Brought to you by wireless internet at motel 6.
See you soon.
P.S. we paid $3.14 for gas today. It was $2.70 when we left Mn.
I'm going to be adding more shots as the days go by here: http://davev.smugmug.com/gallery/1456217

Two Things. Keep an eye on the weather. It going to be 98 degrees in Zion today,
and don't forget your sunblock. We've only been in and out of the car a for short
little walk arounds, but both of us have some "color".

Another reason to dislike Wal Mart
We're going to a U-Dig-It fossel place today.
If our motel has internet access, I'll check back tonight.

How cool is that? Where is the dig your own fossil place?
I hope you are enjoying the trip so far. You have some good photos. I like the rock art!

The fossil dig is here: http://www.u-digfossils.com/
We found some smaller ones, 1/2 to 1 inch in length. The quarry guy says
thats typical. I don't think I was there for 3 minutes hitting rocks, when a
small piece goes flying and gives me a small cut on my leg. This could
only happen to me.
Today, while driving back from the quarry, we saw a large nest, about
8 feet off the ground. It was a ravens nest, with 5, yes 5, almost fully
grown birds in it. Something new to me.

Nice shots! Thanks for sharing them. I'll be heading out tomorrow (Tuesday).
By the way, just be glad the prices aren't the same as out here in cali. We're paying $3.40 for low grade....$3.60 for premium. Ick.
