The Skillion

Ted Szukalski

The Skillion is a fascinating rock at Terrigal (NSW, Australia). It is easily accessible from the back via easy walk. Yet, from the sea it is a vertical climb. Sadly it is not only beautiful but it also tragic as it attracted in its history a number of "jumpers".

Those clouds look like they are decaying in a downwards direction ted. Great colour. I was a rock fisherman in sydney for a few years & that looks like prime blackfish/drummer territory to me.

This is a very popular place, but I seldom see any fisherman under the skillion. There is a much more popular rock formation 100m to the north where it all seems to happen for the anglers but not photogs ;-) .
