How'd I do?
Thanks for the help with my previous thread! I finally "got" the concept and was able to take some shots w/out the fence. How'd I do? I have a Nikon 70-300 lens - but it was the one that I could afford so it's not all that great! I would love better glass but here's what I came up with. Comments are welcome.
Thanks for looking! The other shots are here.

Thank you Saxon! I had a great time with these pictures. I usually take portraits of children - which in a way do turn out to be "action" shots! But I'm really getting into sports photography...

Keep going, don't stop.
to them and you've got some action. Pretty good!
First shot is missing a ball. As a general rule, you want to get the ball in
there. Maybe fire the shot a tad bit sooner.
The second, shot through the fence, looks good. You've effectively gotten
rid of the fence. For this, you might have waited just a fraction of a second
before taking the shot.
Numero tres, not bad. You got motion blur, the ball and the brush back. Very
nice! And the last one, is nicely composed but again, just a tiny bit of a wait
would give us the ball much closer to the batter.
Good job!
