Hi All, I am working on updating my website and would like to get a new picture of me for the new site. My 5 year old nephew took the one I have on there now! If anyone lives around Houston and has some free time I would really appreciate it. I will also be in San Marcus Memorial Day weekend for a wedding and will be available that Sunday, if anyone around there is interested. PLEASE!!

    Hey, Giselle,

Can I hijack your thread? I took a look at your site. Nice. I saw your Quincineria (or however it's spelled) pics, and I want to ask you about that. I've been asked to shoot one. Now, aside from really having no experience with that kind of event photography, I've never been to one of those particular events, and have no idea what to expect, aside from a good time. What are they like?

    A wedding with no husband...
First you go take pics of the girl and her court (kind of like groomsmen), they usually rent a limo to go to the shoot location.
Then to the church for the ceremony which is (catholic) long, lots of specific ceremonial shots (ask for a list of what they want)
Then the reception usually the kind of places rented for weddings. The girl will change into a mexican style dress for a special dance she does with her court. They may hire...can't think of what they are called..the group of musicians that come and perform at your table at mexican food resturants, so there is cool pic op with them. Father/daughter dance...think wedding. There are tons of relatives that will want a picture with her at the reception and the church, just have them line up and wait their turn like school pics otherwise it can get pretty disorganized and take up more time than necessary. They have sponsors (people who donate things for the party) make sure you get a picture of them with her. I usually take a pic of the girl to display at the recption, just like an engagement or bridal portrait.
I recommend charging your wedding prices, if it is a favor kind of thing, you better really like them!

a TC-80N3 timeer cable release will be able to do the job just fine
    without any alien interaction.

    hehe!
