Bird ID, please

Not sure about this one. It could be a white homing pigeon (called a "white dove") these are the birds released at weddings

Or it can be an actual white dove (or something else?).

I don't think it's a pigeon because the bill and eye is wrong. Anyone have any ideas?

    I don’t know what kind of bird this is but I like how the stripe and the bird are such a close match

    Good point. And that stripe looks so freshly painted. You don't suppose that's a pigeon with a coat of highway stripe paint.... :uhoh

    Like the shot:):

    Well bird looks banded?, which is fairly common for racing pigeons, which can look quite a bit different than you normal park pigeon. Both legs banded usually means they are in a race. The bulging forehead and red bill fits the ID of a Red-billed Pigeon, not withstanding the white color, which happens often in pigeons.

    My .02 it is a pigeon, could be all wet

    Some type of Gallinule or Coot.....maybe.

    If it's a White Gallinule....you have seen it come back from extinction!!
