Sandisk Extreme III rebates

Hello folks. Anyone purchase Sandisk memory cards and not get their rebates?
I ordered a couple Sandisk Extreme III compact flash cards back in February for the MI3 shoot with Harry and the birders. I mailed the rebates and required information to Sandisk the first week of March. (well before the deadline).
I have not yet received my lousey $24 in rebates. I check rebate status online and it said no claim was made under my name. So I called customer support and inquired about my rebates. They said they must have gotten lost....as they did not have any claims under my name. Yeah..right. :wxwax This rebate nonsense is getting out of hand. The only mail I can EVER remember getting lost is rebates and a few invoices. :rofl
I always figure this crap will take place so I had scanned all the forms/rebates, codes etc. etc. just for such a situation. I now have to send in the information again....so they can probably lose it again.
Just curious if anyone else bought any of the Scandisk memory cards recently and had the same PROBLEM? This seems to be an increasing trend with these lousey rebates. Strikes me as a bit "odd" and definitely immoral.
You can bet I'll think twice about purchasing any Scandisk products again. I really doubt my rebates got lost. Think of all the money these companies can make if they accidentally lose all these rebates. BeJesus. :huh :uhoh :scratch

I try and avoid rebates if at all possible..but sometimes they make a big difference. This probably wasn't worth the trouble.

I've gotten to the point where I just don't buy things if there's a rebate involved. I'm tired of it. Just sell the product at a lower price (or not) and be done with it already.
