Well, I've had this thing for about a week now, and i finally got to take it out and test it out :)

I went from my Sony 717 to the new Canon 30D and Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8. I'm kind of not sure about the tamron as of yet... I'm wondering if I got a bad copy as it seems to always focus behind what I'm focusing on.... Maybe it's me... I don't know..

anyway... here are a few samples from today :) Let me know you're thoughts. My first time shooting with a DSLR. I hope I did ok.

Good to see you're having fun with your new camera, Steven. About the back focusing: there's some tests you could perform to see if the combination is truly back focusing. See the example by Bob Atkins.
enjoy being here while getting there
