I took this nearly at 5:30pm while we still had some sun left. The rain was coming.
I didn't notice that grasshopper on the top right pedal until I saw it on the 17 inch monitor.
I don't know what kind'a flower it is, nor the grasshopper.
I cropped the picture and it shrunk.:wxwax
But it's my new wallpaper and it looks nice.:):

Thank you!
It's one of my best pictures... and not any that I do have look great, just a few "okay ones". I'm still struggling along, trying to figure out how to be good at this like you and the others in here. My best times for taking pictures and learning how to work the camera, are on Fridays and Saturdays... if it doesn't rain.
I hope to have my Lightsphere by Friday before 6pm,`cos there's gonna be a seminar about the Davinci Code, and they expect about 4000 people to crowd the tiny arena, and the local news channels are talking about going, too. I've heard it takes 2 to 3 days for an LS to arrive, but I get the feeling it'll be 2 to 3 weeks. But this will be a good time to get a couple pictures.:):

into that wonderful flower. Maybe leave just a smidge of a border of leaves.
But don't cut out that little buggy in the upper right

+1 and I'm pretty sure it's not a blue bonnett.

Thank you!
When I cropped it some more, it started to get fuzzy. My mistake was shooting it at 18mm. Like when I didn't notice the grasshopper until after I d/l the shot to my comp, the same was with the focal length... I didn't notice I had it set at 18mm until after I d/l it. Should have set it at 50mm.
This picture was also enhanced with OptikVerve, but cropped by PictureProject. The leaves and grasshopper were so green, that it looked a bit loud to me. Now the greens look like it was cloudy outside, which it was anyway, but the sun wasn't blocked. My flash was off, but the sun lit the greens and the flower up too much.
