Don't you need a bigger apperture to isolate the rider ?

I'm not talking isolation as great DOF, I'm talking isolation as in simple backgrounds and not any distractions.

Went to your site, looks cool. The action shots are right on. I also shot action, and have found that switching from apeture priorty to shutter priorty helps me control lighting a lot, and also DOF. White balance I am still working on for the location I shot from. Notes help to keep track on the position I shot from, but I keep trying to play with the settings, and keep taking notes. thumb.gif

    Thanks,

Yea I shoot shutter priority mostly when the sun is going down or when there are clouds in the sky, because if you dont then you're photo always comes out different. But yea its always a learning process, especially when using off camera flashes, theres so many different things you could do. You should definitely post some of your action shots, I'd love to see them.
