I got out early this morning to my local marsh area. It wasn't particularly eventful, but I had fun nevertheless.

Saw some goslings as I drove in.

The Evening Mist steamed by on the river pushing a barge

A train came down the tracks :yikes

I packed up and was leaving the park, as the goslings were having breakfast with mom.

Got home, and saw this robin in the tree.

I might take a bit of the brightness out of the yellow/green.....ne_nau.gif . A slight distraction to me.

Ric, thanks very much. And I appreciate the critique. I don't always notice the distracting stuff. (See my moniker under my avatar).

I toned down the leaves a bit. I also toned down some of the highlights of the bird's chest, and that looks better on my monitor as well. If you refresh your browser, you'll be looking at the updated image. You can compare it to the older image here if you like:

    Thanks again, Ric.

What an amazing series. What a fun morning walk! I'm so glad you weren't standing on the train tracks ;) I like them all, but I'm a sucker for the goslings, they are just so stinkin' cute!

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

    These are great....
Excellent shots... Inspires me to get out of bed early in the AM to go for a walk. My photography skills (and waistline) would benefit.

What glass are you using to get the Birds?

Raian, thanks. I really appreciate it. It was a fun walk.

The tracks are actually quite dangerous. There's a particularly dangerous section of track nearby a local powerplant that has a constant generator hum. It completely masks the sounds of an approaching train. Only the train whistle will get your attention (don't ask me how I know. :uhoh)

    Thanks for stopping by.

Thanks very much DS. I appreciate the kind words. And you sir, have a hell of a gallery. thumb.gif

These were all taken with my only telephoto, the Canon 100-400 IS.
