Anyone think this is a good idea?

I sure as heck don't get it...Presto. If they can get $10 million for this idea, I've got a few brainstorms for them to invest in...:D

Let me see if I get the concept: You buy a special "printer" for your old-timer parents who don't have/want a computer. Then you get them a dedicated phone line for it. Then you pay Presto a fee for the rights to push photo prints on to the printer. And then I guess teach your non-tech parents how to load the paper and ink cartridges?

I'll say it again, I don't get it. :dunno I'll just mail 'em prints from Smugmug, thank you very much!

I was about to get it until I saw all the fees. If it really were like a fax machine, you just buy it, plug it in, and it automatically does everything I would get it (not for photos but for e-mail type stuff), but no the way it is it's junk.

Wouldn't you be paying to print emails that you may not want? There's only like 2% of the emails I get that I would want to print. And ink is not cheap!

This might have caught some traction 10 years ago. Too many people are have internet access, and if not, it would be cheaper (and better quality) to send the pics via Smugmug by the time you figure ink, fees, paper, etc.
