I thought they were killdear, but I hear that the beak is too long.

    well, i'm no expert....
    but it looks like you've got a killdeer in the middle (bigger bird) and some sandpipers, though it's a bit tough to identify them...hope that helps...

    I was trying (I thought) for the family portrait. There were two adults, the other one was trying to lead me off, and 5 of the little ones. Here is a pic of one of the small ones, I cropped it and enlarged it to get "closer" so it is sort of funky.
