Playing around the Wide End

Finally decided to pack my wide angle lens (10-22 on 20D) to the basin recently.
Had to get pretty close to the subjects though for these shots. My rugged good looks finally payed off :wink

Nice. Where is this place? It looks like a place I know off of 17A heading toward Walterboro SC.

Is that a telephone pole in the background or a nesting pole?

Thanks for commenting, you seem to have a good eye for detail. This shot was taken in the Sepulveda wildlife reserve in Los Angeles CA, and the pole in the background is actually a perch.

when I saw the cement I thought LA.

Your wide-angle perspective gives your first shot an eye-catching creativity. That sure is an ugly fish, though. Any idea what it is? Some kind of carp? Good work on both shots.
