Hey hey... I'm Heath - this is my first post so, hi everybody!
I'm new to digital photography and photography in general. I just got my first camera about a month ago (Canon A430 "point-n-shoot") as a means of documenting all of the stupid things that happen when I go for motorcycle rides. Anyway, I posted some pics over at Baldy's other forum (ADVrider) and somebody suggested I check DGrin out.
I hardly feel worthy to post pics here, but hey - you've got to start somewhere, right?
I'll try to keep the gratuitous motorcycle shots to a minimum, I promise.
So, here are my first two shots. Bear in mind, I'm here to learn so critique away.
Edit 'cause I get annoyed with my typing

Nice to see a bit of green after all these desert shots. :uhoh

Adrian
my stuff is here.....
Cheers,
Great start & welcome to the forum
That lake reflection is awesome. Did you notice you even got a bird flying across the surface in there? Keep 'em comin'... and as far as I'm concerned, ain't nothin wrong with motorcycle shots!

It isn't very nice for a seasoned pro to come in here posing as a newbie to make all the other kids in the playground feel wholely inadequate.
Heath - welcome aboard. Those are two fantastic shots and as my pal Gus said, can't imagine what you'll be posting after you have a few more miles logged on that lens.
Excellent first post

I can assure you that anything I may have done right was entirely accidental... most of the pictures I take just look like Polaroids that fell out of my grandma's photo album. Getting good light seems to be they key - everything would be so easy if I could just control the sun
Oh yea:
Oh crap! are you saying my hundred dollar point and shoot might not be the best camera around?
I think I'm about to get poorer
