Not for me. I click on a gallery, the site crawls and then pops to the SM homepage. It is taking 2-3 tries for a gallery to actually come up. The JAVA uploader is giving me a connection timeout error. Then it works fine.

I think it could have something to do with a load balancing router (the device(s) that determine which computer actually gets the connection), one of the machines is working fine and the other is offline (so it works for some people and not others). Or could be external to SM based on the path we each take.

here is traceroute with the last 2 hops before SM.

I don't know what the path if from cox cable in Texas. That is what my in-laws use and they called me last night wondering why they couldn't access the site and download pictures. It worked after several tries but they said it was much slower than my old site (which was running on my workstation in my office in Canada).

Sorry folks, we had an issue with a caching server which has been brought back in line. Despite my current tenure, there are a few nooks and crannies of SmugMug that I still haven't fully grasped from master onethumb. This issue is no longer one of them, so I can catch it a bit quicker in the future should it occur again.

FYI, I think this basically says you have no Internet connectivity.:):

Seriously, it looks like all the reply packets are getting blocked before they're getting to your machine. One good candidate is a firewall running on your machine, or on the first network device your connection goes through.

I also would recommend running a traceroute from that location when SmugMug is working well for you. That way you know what it looks like when it is working.

    From Detroit...

I'm still getting a lot of "Photo Not Available" (50%) on the search pages. I've cleared cache and restarted my browser (Firefox). Still seems a little sluggish too, though much better than a while ago.
