Upload and work on site

Does anyone know whether you can do the following at the same time:

1) Have one web browser open and uploading pictures to one gallery, and
2) Open up a new web browser, go into your SM site, and perform changes to a different, pre-existing gallery?

Will doing that cause any of the uploading to crash?
