Had a nice long photo hike this morning at an area county park. Got a few decent shots of stuff to share. I hope the lizard shot is not too big... the detail on his skin amazes me. Enjoy and thanks for looking...

The lizard is great. It's too bad my monitor is too narrow to see it all at once without scrolling. Nice work.

    Cheers,

Thanks for your comments Richard. The lizard is too big for my monitor as well, but changing the size really took away from the wonderful pattern and skin texture!

Nice pictures, Raian. The anole just fits on my (new) screen just fine. :D

It looks like you have a very interesting park there, and I hope you post some more pictures from there.

    Regards,

    Yes, the lizard! thumb.gif

He needed a lot of light and you had it.

    Very nice.

I only have a little ole 15" monitor.. glad you guys can see the entire lizard :D

Caw Caw is a really nice place, very pristine, lots of wildlife. I'm definitely going back there... it's only a couple miles up the road from my house and cost only $1.00 to get in. Can't beat that.

We were disappointed in the lack of birds today. We say an Osprey and RWB but that was all.

The gators were in abundance... we saw five in the wild... and thank goodness they were shy and got off the trail and into the water.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

hi, raian. I have a membership to the parks. May not renew, but it lets you go on the bird walks for free. Being almost deaf...........all I got from a bird walk was tired, and an earlier entry.

Right now my experience is that birds are nesting. I have never seen a visible nest at Caw Caw (call me, I will go with you sometime). The osprey nests there every year.
I can show you where it is next January, but my 400 is not long enough to get it, even with an extender.

I have an annual pass to Magnolia (75.00 for me and my husband). Totally worth it. All the birds are there, smile. No, but there are visible birds nesting at the rookery. About 7.00 to get into just that part......but miles of that part, etc.

I apologize for "stealing" your thread. for this. shoulda PMd you, but don't want to start over.

My camera is broken, it is at Canon..........:cry . My elph doesn't do birds!

ginger (I love your lizard and envy that you got it!)
After all is said and done, it is the sweet tea.

Ginger, thanks for the comments. Magnolia and Middleton are expensive, but I'll probably bite the bullet and get a membership pass at least with the "new" is still on my camera ;)

Sorry to hear your camera broke... I hope you get it back soon!
