searching for duplicates?

Is there a way to search for duplicate files within SM?

I can do in now by downloading all the info via the REST API and then comparing filename and checksums but is a pain.

Could be integrated directly into the website? Or is it already?

Sorry, there is no such mechanism right now.

searching for duplicate photos
I am interested in solutions for searching for duplicate photos. I somehow lost track of which one I uploaded and have now come across several duplicates that I would like to remove. I am looking for the faster way to find them. How do you manage to do this. I realize it has to be an off line solution since SMugMug does not have this feature.

IF your photos are keyworded you can search by keyword and find dupes that way?
