Suggestions for Camera Bags?

So I just got the BIGMA (Sigma 50-500) and now my camera bag is WAY too small and I would prefer not to carry two bags. Can anybody suggest some bags for me?

I would like the Sigma lens to fit in the bag wether it's ON or OFF the camera. I currently use a shoulder bag (Tamrac System 6) and love it. I'm a little shaky on backpacks - My concern is not being able to change lenses on the fly plus they tend to be informal.

Here's my normal equipment:

Canon 17-85mm
Canon 10-22mm
Canon 55-200mm (will probably never use it!)
Canon 580 Flash
Sigma 50-500mm
Usual filters, cleaning supplies, pens, cards, etc.

Thanks!

I have a very nice Tenba that I'm very happy with. Construction is good,
it holds an ample supply of gear too.

    Here's a shot

I too am a big fan of the Tenba bags. They have a lot of options for bags to carry a laptop or not.

... and how is that Bigma? For bags I use Domke. For the Bigma in action ... I keep the tripod ring on and attached the supplied strap to the ring ... then sling the whole thing over my shoulder. Not completely un-awkward, but so far so good ... leaves the bag open for everything else. Sometimes I use a vest (Domke), toss the Bigma in the back pocket.

Thanks for the suggestions. I never even considered Tenba - I always look at Lowepro & Tamrac.

Seefutlung - Haven't gotten a chance to really use it...So far I'm pretty impressed! I'll be shooting paintball tomorrow morning.

I use the Crumpler (brians hot-tub) now replaced with the kalahari i think....amazing quality/room & comfort for heavy lenses.

For a lens that big, I'd suggest something sturdy, like Domke or Kata.

    Thank you all!

I think I've decided on the Tenba Pro Traveler II P695 Universal. Now I just have to pay the lens off before I can get the bag!!! :cry

I'm wondering where I can get a Nikon SLR bag.
I thought I found "just" a Nikon SLR bag at BestBuy,
but it turned out to be the box came with some other

things that I didn't need for under $200.

Anyone know where I can find just a Nikon SLR bag online?

`Cos I haven't been able to find one online yet and no stores
around here have them except for that one at BestBuys that I
don't wanna pay for just to get the bag only.

Why not use the search feature to look for previous recommendations for
Camera Bags? Several threads worth of very good information awaits you.

lol... I always use the search, for years now on everything.:):

The search only comes up with bags for those small cameras; such as
Canon Powershots and the Sony CyberShots; etc. The only SLR bags
that are showing up are made by Tamron, Quantaray, Samsonite, Canon, Sony; etc.rolleyes1.gif

If you're doing the google thing, try "site:www.dgrin.com search_terms". Alternatively, the search forums feature works well too.
