A Few from Zion

I found Zion particularly difficult to shoot not only because of the high contrast of the light but also because of the size of the features. Hoodoos are so cute. And so comparatively little. Meanwhile, life is interferring with my desire to do NOTHING but work on my Bryce and Zion photos. Worse than that, life will add another thousand or two photos to my to-do pile over the next month.

Anyhow, here are a few that I have been able to work up so far. I hope you enjoy them.

I agree, I found Zion more difficult, too.

    Hi Virginia
Great shots. I'm going to be in the same boat as you - lots of real life and all I want to do is edit, post or be back there shooting!
Glad I wasn't the only one having troubles in Zion - it became as much about the hiking as the shooting - and then the muscle burn!!!!

    I also love the boots!
It was great to meet you.

I could say something about great minds, but instead I will say that the colors and luminescense in your photo are gorgeous. I also like the framing better than mine (which is cropped a bit). It was great to meet you and I have enjoyed your other photos of our trip.

Might have gotten lucky and come through there 10-15 minutes after you did, with better light :D

Thanks, and nice meeting you too!

Virginia, I like the golden reflections you saw in this one:

And like you, and probably everyone else, there's conflict in the PP of my 1,000+ pics. I know what I'd like to do with my time, it's just what I must do gets in the way. Slowly, I am making some progress

    Very nice series Virginia.

I like the first and last shots the best. The boots are really cute.

Nightingale and I just returned home last PM, so we have not even begun editing yet. Spent two days in Monument Valley on the way home.

Hey, great to hear from you! I hope you both had a wonderful time on the post shoot. Did you stay with the other crew for the week? I can't wait to see some of your shots. Did you love Monument Valley?
