Raptor? Looks more like a flying fish to me! :D Please don't tell me that you shot those with your 200L Mike or I'm not going to be happy. If you did, can we trade lenses? Mine doesn't work that way! rolleyes1.gif Number 6 and 7 are unbelieveable. Bet you weren't happy! (Pssst! Did you see my red-tails??? Not as good as yours, but..) thumb.gif

Now that's some serious Osprey shooting....I love the wings spread, and feeding the little ones. Is that a stuffed Eagle, or did you get an Osprey buddy to put on an Eagle suit? headscratch.gifheadscratch.gifheadscratch.gif Congratulations great shooting thumb.gifthumb.gif

Well its about time. I was beginning to think you wouldnever find and eagle. Congrats on breaking the ice. Now you have to find when who looks a tad better. rolleyes1.gif

    Great shots. thumb.gif

    My choice:

    60881487.jpg

I noticed the sky is a different hue of blue from shot to shot. This one is the best, IMO, in that respect. thumb.gif

Thanks Susan. I appreciate your comments.

I won't tell you I used the 200mm umph.gif You can go ahead and think I used the other lens I carry....the 50mm compact macro. rolleyes1.gif I'd hate for you to be unhappy. I'm not sure about swapping lenses. This one seems to be pretty lucky so far. thumb.gif

You'll have to make the MI4 shoot/trip to Florida next winter to meet some of our really friendly birds. :D

    Cheers

Thanks William. You better get those "old" eyes of yours checked. That is the genuine 100% simulated American bald eagle...in the featehrs/flesh. Not only that..but it was CLOSE!! real close. Even I could see it with the nekked eye. rolleyes1.gif

Thanks Harry. I think everyone forgets that I had already shot my "1st" eagle months ago. I realize it wasn't very memorable....but I SHOT AN EAGLE BEFORE....BEFORE I SAY!! umph.gifrolleyes1.gif

Don't you remember this one? This guy was watching the 30 or so vultures eating a "critter" on the road. He was at the end of our block.

    53973181.jpg

That "first" one was much better looking also. This recent eagle looks to be a juvy...changing colors. What a dirty bird. umph.gif He needs a bath.

Thanks for taking a look Ric. You need to check your monitor or eyes....those skies are grey. :D Blame it on the post man. I'm sure I screwed up the blues in PP. That one that's really different was processed a few days before the others. I also used the quick auto adjust option...so it's a quicky. I suppose I'll go back and rework them someday. umph.gif Might also have something to do with the varying lighting conditions with all the clouds and haze we've been experiencing. ne_nau.gif

Thanks Ben. I wouldn't be making fun of anyone's blues if I were you "funky blue Nikon Machinegun pineapple pizza eating geezer. rolleyes1.gif You know...I like my blues without all the nasty noise. :D

You have not shot an eagle, Ben? Oh my....this is truly a surprise. Good luck in your quest.

Thanks Jeff. Osprey Whisperer? rolleyes1.gifrolleyes1.gifrolleyes1.gif Another member here (also on NC & CC) calls me "Dr. Dolittle" when I get so close to the animals. I think they like the sweet nothings I blow into their ears. Either that or all the fish I feed the birds. eek7.gif:D

Great series of osprey shots. I want that kind of clarity in my pictures. I like your shots of the old eagle; as an old turkey, I can identify with the old bird. :):

Nothing wrong with my calibrated monitor or my Lens Crafters corrected eyes!

    That sky IS blue.

Thanks Jeff. Take Ben and a pound of pineapple and see if you can't find him one of them there eagles to shoot. If that doesn't work....send me a pic of a vulture and I'll photoshop an eagle for Machinegun. :D

I could use more of it!

That program that I showed you the color on makes editing easy as pie. You should take a look at it.

Thanks Ric. I actually googled it when you first posted the screen capture. I was curious as to what it was..and did. Looks interesting. Anotehr one that looks interesting is "Bible". They have some "one click" correction features that interest me. Might be easier for the colorblind guy. rolleyes1.gifI guess I wonder if they are really worth the $$$ and if PSCS2 can't already do most of what they offer (in a different manner) ??

I've got a few PSCS2 books I need to get through as well...so I can color correct by the "numbers" (so the claim goes). Maybe I'll just shoot in B&W from now on. umph.gif
