Got to get away from work yesterday, so I decided to take a trip down to 3rd Street Promenade, in Santa Monica, CA.

it was a blast. I love people watching there and seeing all the different flavors of personality and talent.

Here is one to get you started. I'll be processing more as I get to them.

I'm lovin this 30D more and more :)

1. This guy could play and dance, all at once!

Did you give the last guy money? That's usually the protocol for street performers (or, um, "sitters") -- give them $ and take their picture and it's okay. Take their picture without giving them $ and they get upset. Nothing they can truly do, but it's etiquette.

You'd be surprised how many barriers that have been put up and how many law enforcement authorities are present now... sheesh :)

I love the first one. You really captured his joy. It would have been a tad better without the guy in the background, but it's tough to get a clean background and capture the expression you want in a busy area.

you certainly know how to get exposure, both for your photographs and your thread!-

glad it's back up here because I had missed it-

    great photos-

love the guy in the blue pointing at you-

it wouldn't bother me at all to take a pic of anybody I could outrun; only problem is, I don't think I could outrun anybody!-
