Heartnut....Oooooo

When I was looking at the nut trees at the Michigan Experiment station, I found a hearnut shell half, and put in in the "Y" of this tree it came from (presumably). I never noticed anything unusual about it until my wife said something about an "erotic" nut shot? Huh?? Well it is a kind of quirky picture, but really, it's just the half of the nut shell from the tree it came from.:D

If I were good at "removing the middle trunk and cloning the background, hmmmm .

    I've never seen a heartnut, are they edible?

    Yes and a lot better than English walnuts too!
