Went on a wildflower walk saturday...

the wind was horrific so I all but gave up on attempting to take pics... but I did manage to somehow get a couple of in-focus shots as the flowers were whiping back and forth. With the sony of course...

The 3rd is a barrel cactus, 2nd one is purple clover... the first is something like ironweed or ironleaf.. not sure.

The mountains in the refuge are 600 million years old! and the refuge itself is the oldest managed refuge in the states.

    Wow Dani!!! Those colors are just really great!!! The wind was really howling wasn't it? Wish I could have made it. Coulda used a Meers burger....lol.
