I went and watched a friends son play soccer on the weekend, apart from not ideal lighting conditions being majorly overcast and still quite bright i was happy with how a few shots came out.

The last shot was the first goal of the match so he was pretty happy.
Thanks for looking, comments and critque always welcomed.

These are some great shots. #2 and #3 are my favorites of this group.

I think the overcast conditions performed as a great difusser - no hard shadows. It was still bright enough to cast some shadow so your light wasn't flat.

I agree with the above, I love the way the 2 lads are just standing watching in the last shot, did he score??

I thought this more appropriate to the sports forum, so moved it across thumb.gif

Cheers all for the comments :D
I tried to work out if I could move my own post after realising where it was placed headscratch.gif thanks for the fix up
All these shots were taken in AV mode at f8 and ISO 200 after reading up from people saying f8 is where this lens performs best, between these and the surf post from earlier I'm beginning to agree
Yes he did score, first goal of the day and it was a ripper too
