I work on the Turner Motorsport racing team and get a press credential every Memorial Day weekend and shoot. Here are some of my favorite photos from the weekend. I'd sure love commentary because I am always looking to hone my skills. This weekend I was using a Canon Digital Rebel with a Canon 70-200mm F4L lens with a 1.4x extender.

These here I was really trying to capture the sensation of speed...

Really nice series of shots. My main suggestion would be to not center the car in the frame so much. Try to position them on one side or the other, to convey the direction they are going. Congrats on the 1st and 2nd place finishes.

    Dear Boris,
Please try to avoid crunching up that 97 car so much in the future.

    Sincerely,
    Turner Motorsports

Great set Doug, I can't really make any suggestions, you had a great day, good light, and captured the action well. I'm actually drawn to your people shots, but only because I've been staring at car shots for years. It's nice to see the race day in terms of people from your "insider" perspective.

Yeah, really. Looks like the rocker needs to be replaced before Mid Ohio in a few weeks. You can watch our guys here hard at work... :)

No, it isn't, which is why I trashed about 70-80 shots. :) The monopod certainly helps a lot.

    Thanks guys,
