This evening I had an attempt at collecting some photons from the moon using a canon 400/5.6 and 1.4x tc.

    Want to try this with the 70-200 with 1.4x tele but I keep falling a sleep.

    So am I to understand that the image had been cropped and enlarged yet retained that degree of clarity? Wow! thumb.gif Looks great and my first guess was FF.

    Having autofocus with the 70-200 and 1.4x should be useful. Getting acceptable focus manually with the 400 took a few tries - it seems to be extremely sensitive.

    The crop was actually larger than the version I posted which has been downsized for web display.
