    I'm not sure. Looks kind of like a gypsy moth caterpillar. gypsy moths are nasty, destructive little monsters.

    It is a lot like this image of the Gypsy Moth larva posted by the USDA,

    But not like the formal description which includes, "five rows of paired blue spots, on the back, that are followed by six rows of red spots." as descibed by the University of Massachusetts "Green School" and others.

    UGGGGGG I have those SOB's!
    We have em all over here too!
    Veracious eaters and can defoliate a big tree in a week or so.
    Wifes Roses are being attacked by them.

    Yes they are Gypsy Moth Caterpillars aka Tent Caterpillars.
    I hate em but they are only bad for a few weeks before moth stage starts. :splat
