What am I, Please? Baby/adult?
I couldn't understand the woman who was out at Pitt Street the other night. I think she was telling me that these are baby GBHs. I kind of find it hard to believe, but there are two that I saw. They act like babies. She said the nest was under a tree, but all the Great Blues I know nest IN the trees.
SO..................please:

Now this next one: they were down in the marsh grass. I knew my chances of a good focus, low light, etc, was dim. And these are a bit, or more, OOF, but it does show sibling behavior. Eventually the one crossed the creek to where you see the photographs above.
They don't even look like the same bird, but they are. When I left, after the sun had set, they were fishing together across the creek, kind of by a tree. Very peaceful and beautiful.
I don't know the photographer here. She likes to handhold after dark.
Crazy Creek Lady.........have heard about her around these parts!
Have never seen her, but there have been glimpses of a shadow and/or
footprints, here and there.

After all is said and done, it is the sweet tea.
