Morning trip in Mallorca

I am going through some shots I took on holiday in Mallorca. Here are some from a morning trip I took with the children.
We got up early to beat the tour buses in the moutains. You certainly do not want to meet any on this road.

The road starts at 2375 feet and drops to the sea in 7 miles of hairpin bends. the children thought it was like a Scalextric track except I didn't fall off.
At the bottom is a ferry quay and two beaches along with tourist shops and restaurants.
It was deserted when we arrived
exif
The second beach is shingle, with a torrent that flows in the rainy season.
To get to it we had to walk through two tunnels

entering the sea through massive cliffs on either side

It was a stunning place to be and even more so to have it to ourselves before the ferry came in and to get back up before the tour buses came down.
I hope you enjoy
C&C welcome 'cos I am not happy with the sky
Cheers

Setup: One camera, one lens, and one roll of film.
I especially like the last shot. I don't see anything wrong with the sky, even if the Tourist Board would want them all to be blue . The cliffs look too dark and colorless on my screen, however. Perhaps a bit of shadow/highlight and curve tweaking would help. Or maybe push it even further and go black and white.
Looking forward to seeing more pics.

Hopfully this link will work
Thanks Richard, the light stayed flat in the morning, hiding behind the clouds, when the sun burned the clouds away, it then went hazy. I shot at Fornalutx early one morning, but the sun does not rise very early because of the mountains so again the low angle, soft light is difficult to find

Hi Phil,
It is, the only limitations are the crowds...

That road is amazing, i think it has the only turn in the world that's close to 270 degrees of angle.
The bend with the bridge is just to the right of the shot. To get a decent shot of the road is difficult since it hides behind too many bluffs. Doctor it posted one in the alps somewhere which is far more spectacular as you can follow the whole road.

Good set
