Antonio,
this is a very busy shot - everything in, or almost in focus. Although the "mother in daughter" are center stage the focus leads to whatever they have in the hand.
I guess, as usual, it all depends on the point of view. I would take this shot from a low perspective, perhaps kneeling and would use a lot shower depth of field.

It was a spontaneous shot.
I saw them and bang.
Then at the crop I careful choose the centre of the 3.eds ...

One more thing: sometimes I think the camera does not focus correctly thought it says yes...
