Help with tools: <gallery tools> <photo tools>

Hi All,

I'm new to smugmug and the support forum - so thanks in advance for any help! I was playing around with different style formats (under Customize), and had a few questions.

1. If I use the smugmug, slideshow, filmstrip, critique or smugmug small view, the tools: <gallery tools> and <photo tools> are available for me to utilize when logged in under my main account.
However, when I switched to other views (thumbnail view, traditional, journal) only the <gallery tools> was visible. The drop down box for <photo tools> was missing from the screen, and this created some editing issues for me as I could not access those functions. Can someone tell me how to access the items under <photo tools> if the drop down box is missing? :dunno

2. Does smugmug have any plans to support RAW images in the near future? After signing up I realized many of my pics are .raw (Canon Digital Rebel).

Thanks again for any help!!

    Hi :) <img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/6029383/emoji/wave.gif" border="0" alt="" > Welcome to Smugmug and DGrin!

When you are in thumbnail, traditional, or journal view, just click on one of the pictures, which will take you to a single image view. Your photo tools will then be under the photo.

Thanks, after much research I know I've picked the right site for my pics, and from reading the forum and the helpful replies - I have no doubt the support here outshines the competition!

I followed your instructions, and the <photo tools> drop down box did appear. I thought my problem was solved, but unfortunately one menu item is missing 'delete photo'/'delete photos (bulk)'. Everything else is in the list per the screen shot that I found utilizing the help search. http://www.smugmug.com/help/photo-tools.mg
    (I've included a screen shot)

Do I need to perform another step?

My guess is that you're logged on using your guest account. Guests can't delete photos.

Does it say 'Your Photos' or 'Guest Photos' at the top of the page ?

    Cheers,

It does say Guest Photos, which is confusing since I logged in as my master ID/login.... I logged out, and logged back in, and confirmed that I chose 'your smugmug homepage' instead of the 'guest photos' link at the top. 'Guest Photos' still appears at the top of the page. Now i'm really confused - Laughing.gif!

    :D ok...here's how it works.

With a guest account, the user logs on with the same account name but with the password that has been defined in the Guest Password section.

Now, I think there might be a bug, where a user can set the same password for before primary/guest log on, resulting in the user always logging in as guest.

    Does that make sense ?

Try and change the guest password to something else. If you can't, email support and they will be able to reset the guest password for you.

    Hope this helps,
