First one needs a crop...

That first pic is outstanding!!!
Suggestion - crop out the right 1/10th.

Thanks!
I was kinda hesitant to lose the right hand dark framing part, but here is the crop, and I think you guys are right about it :
Cheers!
Nik, this is a great photo. Now go out and sell the crap out of it. This has loads of potential.
Question, did you desaturate and tone this? And how did you do it if you don't mind me asking?...

Yes, I see this balance of dark and ligth corners now! Great that you guys noticed it! Thanks alot
If only each of us was able to sell every photo that has a potential...:cry Thanks, though!
As to desaturation - no, in fact, saturation is at zero.
Here's my ACR settings for this image (I didn't even open it in PS:-):
Exposure 0
Shadow 33
Brightness 61
Contrast +87
Saturation 0
I boosted Shadow and Contrast a lot (and some Brightness, too) to lose the details on the bodies. But the rest of the picture was already almost this duotonish from the start. In Malibu we almost always have this very strong haze, which, at sunset, colorizes all things that are further than 100 feet away from you to this near perfect sepia.. Can be good or bad, depending on what you're after..
Cheers!
Me, and the Ro3ds ...:):
Excellent.
I'm sad ....

Excellent photo Nikolai
I think Antonio's crop really tightens it up perfectly.
Gort! Klaatu barada nikto!
the second shot has such nice subtle hues, maybe a touch more blue in the water and it would be perfect. very nice as it is as well.

Sorry for the delayed response, was busy at work!
Appreciate the comment!
Cheers, mate!
Thank you for stopping by!
I simply was busy, didn't get here in time:-)
Appreciate it!
I missed the sunset itself (that place is a nightmare to find a parking spot, spend like 15 minutes looking for one), so I only got the afterlight..
Thanks for checking!
So, it's much nicer NOT to see the fires there!
Thank you.
