Was priveledged to go to a big cat rescue facility here in north Texas on Sat. Spent two hours w/some fun people and here is a sample.

This is very nice. I love how you have taken the theme of the tiger strips and emphasized them with whatever technique you used. At first I thought you had done some sort of zoom thing, but I don't see the artifacts of that on the cat's tail. Very nicely done.

Care to share a little about how you accomplished this FX?

Hi Scott - thanks for the nice comment. I got this effect in PS by making an oval around her face, feathering, then inversed and used zoom blur. I did it a couple of times, doing and undoing until I got the effect I wanted.

Lovely Cinda. I dislike zoo photography with a passion, but rescue is so different. Was this at Tiger Creek? There is a link to it among others at the photo site Khaos mentioned, http://www.thebigcats.com - great work they are doing. Any other shots you could post - or a link to that centre?

Very nice, you got some good side light, the eyes are strong!

This was at Pug Mark Park in McKinney, TX. Really caring and nice people and generous to photographers. There is a fee, but it all goes to the cats. Here's another shot -- for some reason I can only put one photo in a message. Not sure what I'm doin' wrong.

Two excellent shots. It must have been a thrill to get so close to such beautiful animals.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

DGrin limits attached photos to one per post. You can, however, link in as many as you wish.

Your second cat is just a powerful an image as you first one. I'm just a bit jealous.

    Nice kitties
Love tigers!!! (And big cats in general!) That 2nd shot is great. I would like the first shot better if the eyes had remained more sharply in focus. Other than that, the zoom effect is nice for a different look in a wildlife shot. thumb.gif

Here kitty, kitty, kitty, very nice Cinda. I like the way you applied PS to convey motion. Rocky is pretty cool also. Well done, and thanks for sharing your talent with us on D-Grin. 1drink.gifclap.gifclap.gifclap.gifclap.gif
