My Own Seinfeld Tour in NYC, Part I

Part of the legacy of Seinfeld are the places where the show was filmed. Many of the sites in the show, and from the show's history, can be found in New York City with a little sleuthing. This past weekend I was in NYC and tried to find as many as I could. I got through 10 on my list before I had to call it quits (traffic was just killing me).

Anyway, here's a few shots:

Soup Kitchen International, aka 'The Soup Nazi'

Champagne Video, where George tries to return 'Rochelle Rochelle'

and H&H Bagels, where Kramer had a promising career until he went on strike.

There's a few more on my smugmug site: http://douging.smugmug.com/gallery/1527669

I will be returning to NYC in the Fall and I hope to get the rest of my list done then.

Thanks for looking.

    Thanks!

One of my favorite episodes was on last night: The Chicken Roaster (Kenny Rogers Chicken).

Kramer: Of course there's the possibility that you've gone right out of your mind.
George: I've looked at that, seems unlikely.
    Kramer: I'd look again.

Aw man, you missed their coffee shop. I happened to have breakfast there yesterday, it's right below the office of the guy I had to interview. lol3.gif

Oops! Never mind, I see you got it. Did you know NASA has offices right above?

NASA the space agency? It sounds like a lost Seinfeld episode -

Kramer invents a new space suit with his rubber bladder technology but the astronauts complain about too much bounce in their step.

Have you ever seen this website: http://kramerica.tv/

lol3.gif no, I never saw that episode.

Yeah, the space agency. Talk about grungy, not at all what one associates with NASA, quite a surprise. But home to a somewhat controversial figure.
