Took a run through Sequoia NP this past weekend, thought I'd share a few of them.

Thanks Erich, actually the park was kind of a mess, a lot of trees down on the side of the road, it's probably about the poorist condition I've seen it in. Probably from the late winter we had. But juding from the atitude of some of the rangers I spoke with, maybe they just don't give a damn.

    Ed,

Great minds think alike. mwink.gif I was just backpacking up there this last weekend as well. What area were you in? I was in the Three Lakes area hiking up the South Fork River.

My sister is visiting (from Russia). I'm thinking of taking her for a 3 day camping trip next week with tentative anchor points of Sequoia NP, Mono Lake and Yosemite NP. I've been to Yosemite a few times, so I'm aware of what to show/what to shoot there, but I haven't been to neither Mono Lake, nor Sequoia NP.

What camping sites and easy/scenic hiking trails would you guys recommend? What would be the good sunrise/sunset points in those two?
(Usage of local.live.com for easy map pointing would be greatly appreciated)

    Thanks a lot in advance!

    Cheers!1drink.gif

I'm sorry to hear that. The National Park system is one of the best things out there but it can only be as good as those watching over them. I can appreciate the weather conditions this year were difficult but still....

    Nice Shots Ed,

I was up there as well that weekend. I went to Red Wood Mountain, Buena Vista and Moro Rock. I will be up Kings Canyon, Sequoia and Yosemite National Park quit a bit this summer since I just moved back. Maybe we'll bump into one another. Keep up the excellent work.
