Grimace Bueller's Day Off (few from Chicago)

To honor the 20th anniversary of Ferris Bueller's Day Off , I went out photo hunting to see if I could cover as much ground as Ferris.

Unfortunately, I don't move at the speed of a school skipping 18 yr old any more and my time was limited to 3 to 4 hours of down time (I was there for business).

Ferris takes in a parade. I take in a protest.

My hometown is looking sharp. Did you shoot the waterfront on portrait or landscape? I think its a really nice image.

When I worked in downtown, I worked on michigan just north of wacker / river. So that shot of michigan ave is really nice for me.

Aside from that 1st shot I like the series. I am pretty sure the movie used Lake Forest High School so its a bit of a drive from downtown.

Those are awesome shots, Adam! You do a really neat job of capturing the cities you travel to. Nice series, and I love the theme. That is a great movie, watched it many, many times as my son was growing up. thumb.gifthumb.gifthumb.gif

Adam, you did the big city proud. Glad you could take some time and take it all in. You know, life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Hey ya slacker. Get to work. :D

Nice shots. I haven't stopped in to Chicago for about 10 years.
It looks a lot nicer in your shots than I remember it. ne_nau.gif

Thanks Bob, Saurora, & David X3. I wish I'd had 2 to 3 hours more to cover the city. I didn't even have a chance to hit Millennium Park.

I agree with all of the above comments. Very nicely done Adam. It's good that you make time from your work trips to do what you have a passion for. Life is short!
