I shot this Kestrel awhile back, but wasn't sure if I wanted to post it, because it lacks a great deal in technical merit. However, each time I look at the picture it grows more on me and, I like it's form and motion. Besides it was difficult to capture and I don't have anything better from the past few days, so after a lot PS work, here it is.

I like it a lot. Kestrels are a hard catch, a kestrel in flight is a very, very difficult capture.

I liked it a lot. It's a serious action shot at an interesting angle. Great detail in backlit plumage. Kestrels are cool. Great shot.

Thank you Joel, I agree, there's something about the angle that convey's serious action, even though he's a small bird.

Thanks Harry, you are so right. I chased this little guy across field and stream for an hour, before I got anything acceptable, and then it required a lot of PS work. I'm glad you like it. :):

It use to be an Osprey, but after chasing it for several hours, it lost weight, and turned into a Kestrel. Thanks Mike
