My First Portraits

Taken in March of 2005 and still my only portraits I want to take more, but for some reason haven't been able to get around to it.

    These are nice shots. That your model looks comfortable in front of the
    camera helps a lot. They look a bit dark to me. The second would be cool
    shot with a shallower DOF--just enough that you can still tell where you
    are but not so much that it distracts from the model.

    I agree. A shallower DOF in that 2nd shot would be great. The model is very good and relaxed and these are nicely captured. I feel that your contrast is a little low in the first shot and the shot could be brightened up a bit with curves. The second shot is for my tastes a bit too contrasty and maybe oversharpened. I would try to get the contrast somewhere in between the 2 shots. You're off to a good start, just keep shooting!!! thumb.gif

    The contrast in this last shot is pretty good. I like it.
