Using Adobe Bridge with a 350D

I use a Canon 350D and CS2. I added a plug in that allows CS2 to open RAW files, but this doesn't seem to have updated Adobe bridge which only shows me the Raw icon and no Preview.

Any suggestions?

Also I have so far been using Canons Zoombrowser as my ''Light Box'', is it that much more efficient to use Bridge? Should I make that move?

Thanks again.

    Hi I use a 350d and bridge

and went through exactly the same thing.

So you downloaded the latest CS2 Raw plug in great and you then installed it lets assume you did all of that correct then two things to check

1, open bridge so you can see the CR2 logo but not the image... then purge your Cache for that folder (i cant direct you any more precisely as at work so no bridge) its somewhere in one of the dropdowns.

Can you then see the images? That was my prob by the way!
Bridge had already created the thumbnails prior to installing the plugin so I was viewing 'old' info which purging the cache should sort.

If still doesnt work try open a cr2 file in CS2 if you can you may of installed the plug in to CS2 rather than to the whole adobe suite.

thanks for your reply. I'm attempting to follow your advice but it says:

"the cached thumbnails for this folder will be deleted. the labels and ratings for these files will be lost"

Does this mean the action will empty the folder?

I dont want to continue if thats the case.:uhoh
    thanks again

No it just means Bridge will reload the images into bridge! you wont lose anything.. the only thing you could lose is if you had done ratings in bridge! such as 4 or 5 star or colour ratings.

Basically it doesnt alter ANYTHING in the folder.

I used to use zoombrowser, and thought it did a pretty good job. That was until I switched to the Bridge. It does everything I was using the Zoombrowser for (ratings, batch rename, slideshow view) but better, and I love that it's integrated with PS as well.

    THanks you two.

Caching the folders didn't work so I guess I have to reinstall a plug in...if I remember where i found it.

I will push on and try to move to Bridge, I had a hunch that it would be as Ina says, but it does seem slow.

Well, I have copied and pasted the plug-in RAW 3.1 into:

    Prog files>Adobe>Bridge>plug ins
    Prog files> Adobe>Bridge>browser>plugins
    Prog files>Adobe

I have shut down my computer and restarted. Does it make a difference? NO, no RAW preview in Bridge for this puppy.

    Any more ideas?ne_nau.gif

I think I have my plugin in this folder:

    Program Files> Common Files> Adobe> Plug-Ins > CS2> File Formats

    Instructions for installation here:

Scroll down after the Download button.
