Priviet, dear friends!
You (some of you) often ask me how it works, how I manage to get such models and so on...
I'll tell you about this serial of photos. The evening was very sunny (about 6 p.m.) and a bit windy. I was hurrying somewhere... And I saw this Lady with strange step... Then I guessed - its all about the wind...
I catched up with her and smiled... She smiled in return... I said - interesting pose for photographer - I mean skirt in hands...
Then I asked her - can I take a photo of her walking such a way and also some other and place into my web gallery and show my forum friends abroad...
After 5 min of nonstopping la-la-la from my side She said - OK!

We spent about 15 min on a street...
As I said before noone can say "she/he is non photogenic" beforehand...
Try to do your best and absolutely everyone will have his/her good portrait (photo).

15 minutes???? Yuri, you are the best! These shots are wonderful. I especially like the story told in the first shot and the 3rd shot is dynamite. The composition, her pose, and the tone used in processing is perfect. She sure is comfortable in front of a camera. Is she a model???? thumb.gif

I like the treatment on the 3rd and 5th shots Yuri. Great work as usual. I think you can tell us how you do it till you are blue in the face but talking people into it is really a craft unto itself. So consider yourself a master of two crafts, portraits and talking to beautiful young womeniloveyou.gif.

I need to come to Russia and take photos of the girls, if I knew it was that easy I would have bought my tickets already.

But on a serious note, those are some awesome shots Yuri, your stuff is very impressive. When ever I shoot portraits I try to look at your photos first and then attempt to get something like them. Great Job thumb.gifthumb.gifthumb.gif

Two names always come to mind when looking at portraits
Yuri Pautov and Yehuda Katz both masters at this.

I think its experience and taking the time to talk to people...making them feel comfortable in front of the camera.

I get my camera out and everyone runs and hides.

I'd like to see Yehuda on this forum too.

I think something about this one matches her personality.
