Thinking of Joining the Fun - Patches

Well, the challenges look like a bit of fun and a way to grow. So, I thought I might join the fun. Was thinking of entering "Wing Patches". I especially liked the light on this and the colors, but that may not be enough.:dunno
Any Comments/Feeback welcome.

    I Love these red winged blackbirds.....and you got such a clear clean shot, I might crop a bit to make the focus on the wing......maybe a "head and shoulders" crop........but it is wonderful just like it is clap.gifclapclap.gif

    can't believe I didn't comment on this already??

    I love it. Try the crop, but I like it like this too. Maybe lighten up the birds head a touch (leaving the eye very dark). Get a border going to finish it up and I think you are all set clap.gif.

    A tight head and shoulders shot sounds good.
    Maybe show a bit more texture in the head, as Le Dude suggests.

    the orangy patch is very nice. Colorful shot! I like colorful...
    Maybe a crop, to focus more on the bird? Good work, attractive photograph!clap.gif

    Not smart enough for the challenge!!
    Well, I thought I would hurry up and post my entry before the midnight deadline... OOoops!

    Well here is what I came up with after making the suggested changes.
