Javascript using the API?

Has anyone figured out how to use Javascript to gain access to the API?

What I would like to do is mouseover the images when viewing in delete mode and display the md5 checksum. This would be useful for removing duplicate images.

There is other info that I would like to be able to see that I currently can't see in a graphic view.

    Michael,

    I have specific javascript code that I use for my firefox extension, that only works with mozilla.

    I am not sure that you are even able to hook in additional calls to these 'admin' type pages.
