Uploader issue with firefox

p4, 2.4ghz, 1gb ram, 9800 pro, runnin XP pro. i run a tight ship on my pc.

the first few days i had smugmug last week the uploader worked like a charm. hasnt worked since, i use firefox fully updated. i have to use explorer and use the second option now. i reinstalled the java platform. still no go.

the error i get is :server returned an unrecognized response:

BTW, have you been able to use the universal uploader with IE6?

it wont work for IE either. i have just been usin the explorer option in IE, that works fine.

it could be something on my pc im sure - maybe ill uninstall java completely then reinstall it.

unless this is happening for others?
