Back Deck this morning and what a surprise!
Parent to left of me and the newest family addition to my right in the last two pictures.
It was fun to watch the awkward takeoffs and landings of the young one.

I love my Canon 70-200mm F4L...great glass. It only gives you 320mm on the long end with the 20D which is enough for me. But if you're into birding shots the reach is a little short. And these pics were cropped to show only the hawk. The parent hawk was about 30ft away and the young one 40-50feet away. No tripod here...all hand held with a little support from the deck railing.
What a gorgeous face you folks who get to see such beautiful hawks and eages really dont know how lucky you are....... how lucky can you get!

:skippy Everyone has the right to be stupid, but some people just abuse the privilege :dgrin
Thanks you Skippy. I'll never see an eagle where I live. The hawks get
close once in a while though.
