I knew, of course, that trees and plants had roots, stems, bark, branches and foliage that reached up toward the light. But I was coming to realize that the real magician was light itself.

    Lamina of a Lilly
My very first post at DGrin.

Taken on June 23 with my just-arrived Canon 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM lens. It was a little bit windy that morning, so I had to bump up the ISO.

    Lamina Propria
My first thought of "Lamina" is from my physiology textbook... Lamina Propria, or the layer of connective tissue between various other layers in muscle and organs. With that in mind, I went for the tastiest lamina I could think of: Bacon!

    A bit too literal, perhaps?

(also, first post on digital grin!)
