I went out last night to the beach to take advantage of the full moon. This shot was 65 seconds at f20.

    aaron!-

you give us the above when you've shot http://www.aaronbernardphoto.com/art/landscapes/!!??

I know sometimes less is more but I believe this time less is less-

your photo seems to be nicely done but I believe it needs a subject besides the water (the moon, the shore, the loch ness monster, a passing iceberg due to global warming-)-

    anyway, just my thoughts-

Wow, I have never seen the ocean that still. I agree that this needs something more to make it interesting. I'm thinking the outline of a boat out there, or somesuch. Also, what is the shadow area from? It almost has a "ghostly" feel to it.

Thanks for all the kind words on my gallery!

The ghostly image is from a buoy that was bouncing around during the exposure. the moon was just out of frame to the top and behind the buoy so it became a moving shadow of sorts.

I suppose it looks bland on the web. I think seeing it in person blown up to say 3x5 feet there would be a better feel to it...

I like the flat horizon along with how the moon light looks like its shining right to the edge of the ocean and spilling over.

One thing I find interesting is the dark line near the horizon... No clouds out that night and over a long exposure waves wouldnt be an issue either. weird huh?

yeah, it can be difficult transferring what you see to a photo at times-

then, a lot of times, when trying to show it here you lose even more-

I know just what you mean. I blew this image up to 20x30 and love it! It's hanging in my hallway. But, it was taken in the day, not the night.
