Extention Tubes - macro question ....

I really miss the macro available on my fuji - would one of these extention tubes get my 50mm 1.8 down to be able to decent (or even 1/2 decent) macros? Or do I need a dedicated 'macro' lens as well as these extention tubes?

Any advice greatfully appreciated .....

I don't know much at all about photography, but I believe you can make your 50mm to
become a macro with those tubes.
I've even seen where someone used tubes... and 2 teleconverters to get extreme closeups,
and still had sharp and vivid pictures,
even though there may have been very little light getting into the lens.

Macro tubes have no glass in them so, the less expensive ones will work great....Just make sure that they have electronics in them to keep all functions of your camera working, or you may find your self shooting in totally manual mode.

That is the only draw back to the less expensive ones and always ask questions of the seller on ebay...if they say they are not sure or don't know if all the functions work or not get the brand name exact model and google it to see if it truly is 100% compatable electronics and all.....

I have been looking into this myself and the one thing I notice is that the one you are looking at does not couple to the lens, so you loose your ttl exposure. Here are two links for tubes that do couple to the lens, so you maintain auto exposure.
