Something about being a relatively new owner of a DSLR immediately draws me to taking photos of flowers - something about the challenge of nailing the composition while getting every detail in there and preserving the rich colors. Here's some from last weekend that I'm happy with. What do you think?

Oh, I feel your pain (in being a new DSLR owner and trying to get all the details in the shot). These are very lovely! You are doing well. I like #2 the best, simple composition and nice color.

try and get the birds without the leaves behind it...i think it would look better.
