Today, the 15th of June, it was an official “Nature Photography Day” and that’s just what I did. I hope you enjoy them.

Picture # 1:
In my favorite swamp I saw this Heron family member, isn’t he beautiful?:

Here a sample where a composition in the middle works:

Picture # 3:
Yesterday the shooting of BIF’s was a big fiasco, today I had some more luck:

Picture #5:
This guy didn’t remember anymore that he’s too old to be green. When he realizes that the whole world could see him, he ran away.

Great shots Dick, I like that heron a lot. Is it a tri-colored? It resembles one but I have never seen one with that coloration before.

    Thanks Nick.

I'm not properly documentated about Herons. It's sometimes confusing. Hereunder the some of the Heron famile (It's said that the first is a tri-color):

Good shots Dick and the heron in question is a tri-color. The white underbody is a dead give-away.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Great shots. Love the green legs on that heron. I've never seen one of these before.
